From 1912 until 1977, boys ages six to fifteen traveled to Portage Lake near Manistee, Michigan to be TOSEBO campers. Whether you were a young boy bunked in a cabin, or an older boy assigned in the platform tents, all were offered the opportunity to participate in swimming, horseback riding, athletics, crafts, nature and Indian dancing in either four or eight week sessions.
If you are an alumnus of TOSEBO, enjoy the memories and take the chance to reconnect with summer friends. If you're not a former camper, perhaps some of these images will be a reminder of your own camp experiences.
